Pinwise is a free bowling log book operated at pinwise.online. You do not create an account. We do not run a member database of names, emails, or passwords.
Games, averages, gear, houses, leagues, and settings stay in this browser. They are written to IndexedDB and localStorage on your device. They are not uploaded to a Pinwise server when you bowl, edit a ball, or open Stats.
If you use Backup JSON in Settings, a file is saved on your device. Restore JSON reads a file you choose. We never receive that file unless you send it to someone yourself.
Clearing site data, using a private window, or a browser that purges unused storage will erase the book on that device. Keep a JSON backup if the numbers matter.
Scan a scoreboard sends the photo you take or pick to xAI so the scoreboard can be read. Do not photograph faces, scorecards with personal details you do not want processed, or anyone who has not agreed. We do not keep a Pinwise photo library of those images.
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EGDZ2M42VY) to learn that the app was opened and which public pages are used. Google may set cookies or use a device identifier and receive your IP address, browser type, and approximate location. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
A sponsor link sits at the bottom of each page and opens uplcm.com in a new tab. Pinwise does not load a Google AdSense script for that link. The sponsor site’s own policy applies after you leave.
Optional support goes through Venmo or PayPal. If you open a Donate QR or payment link, that processor’s terms and privacy policy apply. Pinwise does not process card numbers or payment logins.
Pinwise uses:
Hosting, fonts, and the scoreboard-scan API may receive standard request data (IP address, user agent) when a page or scan is loaded.
Pinwise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted a scoreboard photo can contact us using the details below.
If this statement changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Pinwise after a change means you accept the revised statement.
